Head: Professor Christian Kopetzki 

Christian Kopetzki studied law (doctorate in 1979) and medicine (doctorate in 1984) at the University of Vienna (Austria). After an occupation as University Assistant at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University of Vienna, he was granted a postdoctoral lecturing qualification in 1995 in the field of constitutional, administrative and medical law. Christian was appointed Associate Professor in 1997 and University Professor of Medical Law at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University of Vienna in 2002. He is the Deputy Director of the Institute for Ethics and Law in Medicine at the University of Vienna and the author of numerous books and articles on Medical and Constitutional Law, focusing on the law on genetic engineering and biotechnology, the legal regulations concerning stem cell research, the transplantation and application of human tissues, and European fundamental rights in the field of biomedicine.

Claudia Zeinhofer studied law (Mag. iur. in 2003, Dr. iur. in 2007) at the University of Vienna (Austria). She works as University Assistant at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University of Vienna. Her main research focus lies in the field of Medicinal Products Law, Medical Devices Law and human tissue safety regulations.
